As an advanced bodyworker trained to work with early trauma, my passion is about helping to restore health, vitality and balance to people's lives.  Brigit Viksnins' integrated approach is on the leading edge of a growing field of practice combining bodywork -- with a deep understanding of the nervous system, touch and presence -- interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma resolution.  Her work is some of the best I have seen in the field.  I highly recommend her work for the bodyworker seeking to understand and practice holistic health approaches, and embody what will be a better form of medicine for human beings in the 21st century.

One of the best continuing education classes I have taken in the past 30 years as an advanced bodyworker.  I appreciated the clear and explicit way the material presented.  Brigit is a gifted teacher that brings dense material into clear form.  I love the way she weaves together the verbal content, visual materials, process, practitioner and client awareness, verbal and touch skills.  The pacing was impeccable.  Each of us received ample individual hands-on support and feedback, unlike most trainings in the bodywork continuing educational field.  I thoroughly appreciated Brigit’s embodiment of the knowledge she is teaching and the ability to convey the essence of this work together with great clarity, depth of knowledge and generosity of her heart in an amazing 3 level training!  Alchemical Alignment provided me with touch-skills and verbal-skills that engage the clients and gives them choice and a voice in the session.  The verbal skill are focused on present time, the felt sense/somatic sensation which both can support trauma resolution.  I left each level with new tools I could utilize immediately.  I thank Brigit whole-heartedly for offering this training and would highly recommend it.

As an RCST®, I would recommend this program to other RCST's for deepening, expanding and improving your understanding and approach to trauma work, including establishing a safe, empowering client relationship and a thorough grounding in recognizing and approaching the fight, flight, and freeze states of trauma.  This course is great and I think it really brings home, makes complete, and deepens the training and skills I gathered in the Biodynamic Craniosacral training!       MW, RCST®

The journey of Alchemical Alignment is remarkable.  Brigit Viksnins conveys knowledge from many years of study and wisdom from many years of attuned practice.  Her compassion and respect for every student and
client is a shining, instructive, and heart-widening example.  As a massage therapist, I found this advanced bodywork training to be the right balance of intellectual challenge and hands-on practical experience -- expanding me as a practitioner in ways I could not have expected.  Additionally, as a person who has worked as a crisis counselor/advocate with survivors of sexual and domestic violence for more than a dozen years, I find the theory and teachings of AlchAlign to be safe, gentle, and holistic where the client has control and choice.  Finally, as a person who went to divinity/theologyschool, I am inspired by the expansive spiritual aspects of this training.  There is more than talk of trauma and difficulty being held in a person’s body;  there is ample time given to discussing health and the possibilities for restoration, wholeness, transformation, and the amazing and beautiful complexity of being human.  I am grateful for this experience and have certainly been (and continue to be) transformed in this learning process.

Erika Callaway Kleiner, M.Div., LMT

As a traditionally trained psychologist and psychotherapist, it was fascinating to participate in an advanced bodywork class.  Brigit does a wonderful job of bridging the gap between talk therapy and bodywork.  In addition, my own
meditation practice and my training as a mindfulness meditation teacher was a perfect fit for the stillness and awareness that the Alchemical Alignment work elicits.  The class was a wonderfully integrating experience for me.

As a psychologist, coming from the perspective of psychotherapy, which is all about words, Brigit's classes have been transformative for me on multiple levels.  Orienting to neuroception, the felt sense attunement to the client, and learning that sometimes staying in that space without too many words is the most powerful place of healing. I have learned to go slowly, to hold space for the client's innate healing capacity. And permission to align with the blueprint of health, which is my natural orientation, is so very affirming for me. I understand that bodyworkers are coming from the other end of the spectrum, learning to use talk skills, and I see how powerful that is as well. Psychotherapists and bodyworkers benefit from meeting on this common ground, learning from each other and from Brigit in the powerful space that Brigit holds for transformation.
Cynthia Wilcox, Ph.D.

I highly recommend Brigit's Alchemical Alignment training for any psychotherapist interested in bringing the body on board in working with PTSD, DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), and other trauma-related disorders. As a seasoned psychotherapist and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, the skills I have learned in Alchemical Alignment have allowed me to transcend the limits of talk therapy. This training offers concrete bodywork skills that are accessible and useful for psychotherapists interested in broadening their skill set for working with trauma survivors.

Brigit's teaching style is much like the healing arts itself-- holding polarities along an uncharted journey. She teaches with a balance of sensitivity and deliberate action, always leaving room for what arises, while also clearly confident of making it to the end goal of greater expanded health and awareness.  She starts where the students are and slowly brings the information deeper and deeper, so the students hardly recognize they are traveling so far into the uncharted territories of the body-mind awareness. The students may suddenly realize they are standing on completely new ground.  She makes the process of learning along this journey safe;  taking the fear out of being a beginner by giving very concrete instructions about something that most in this field still struggle to put words to.  Students that learn from her leave with confidence that they too can bring their clients on this journey, and continually return to tell her amazing stories of their success.

As someone who is a behavioral health trauma therapist, Reiki Master, Kundalini Yoga instructor and life
coach
, the training with Brigit, proved to be the icing on the cake.  Having another "hands on" skill that truly works to release trauma from the body, is pivotal and greatly needed, especially in the Behavioral Health field.  Brigit is excellent at working with varying levels of experience and she offers a safe and supportive environment to learn such
important and life-changing work.

Paige Valdiserri, LPC, NCC, BCETS, RMT

Brigit’s teaching is clear, comprehensive and an invitation to explore and apply the concepts from your heart.  She speaks from experience and possesses the ability to truly listen. Having discovered my difficulty with expressing my experience in words and the ability to identify what I am really feeling, Brigit gently yet strongly held space for me to repair broken lines that enable verbal communication.  I am so grateful for her presence, support and guidance throughout the training.

When Brigit first introduced the talk trauma resolution skills I was a bit apprehensive, being new
to the massage therapy profession.
Talking skills were a totally new idea on how to address trauma in the body.  But with Brigit's guidance showing how the slow wondering can bring resolution in the body, this aspect of the treatment has become an important part of my practice.  Not just in a biodynamic craniosacral session but also for a manual massage treatment, by engaging the client they become so much more aware of the details of sensation they are noticing in their body.  The results are truly amazing.  I thank Brigit for her inspiring skills, stories and compassion in teaching this
important work.

As a massage therapist, I find that I am more relaxed and confident in my work.  I have been doing way less “work”, and having more long lasting and profound results with my clients.  I feel better in my body after my sessions, and I have found new ways to communicate with my clients and create partnership with them.  This feels ever-so-much better than just giving them a massage.  Because of my training in Somatic Experiencing, I found Brigit’s training to be very helpful in focusing my communication with my clients so it is more easy, natural, and free.  Alchemical Alignment gave me the sense of having a whole encyclopedia on the tip of my tongue of very relevant information I could share with my clients.  I am finding I am speaking less, waiting for the poignant/palpable moment for a word or two, listening more to their body’s subtle communications and giving them a few pieces of information that are relevant to the here and now that they are experiencing.  After our work, my clients tell me they feel more “at home” in their bodies.

I also have a background as a Reiki Master and found that the way Brigit trained me to focus (in the body and on the waves of information and energy) felt very natural and had a profoundly relaxing effect for my clients and myself during sessions.  And, I have over 12 years studying and teaching a tai chi/qi gong/yoga fusion and found that the very focused Alignment Sequence movement series that Brigit has designed is quite therapeutic for myself and for my clients.  It is easy to remember, starting with 4 basic movements, and quite sophisticated at the same time.   At the beginning, this seemed like something I "should" do, and by the third level of the training, this series became like an old friend, (the kind of old friend one wants to have and return to), where there is a sense of finding safety and ease and also growth and expansion.

Finally, because of my training and 29 years of experience in Public Health and the medical care system, seeing over and over again the accumulated effects on the body, mind and spirit from stress in its various manifestations (in our culture,
families and individual circumstances), I am profoundly happy to have a simple common-sense way to be helpful to people.

My work has become more efficient and more profoundly about allowing health to manifest.
As I learn more about what it means for me to be in alignment - and holding the space for the person on the table - I yield more to allowing the process, and use language to teach about choice and possibility. Really staying within our capacity and stabilizing the system - which allows expansion, is awesome to be part of.
Brigit's class experience has profoundly influenced my work in ways that will be manifesting for the rest of my life.
As an example, Brigit's training has given me the skills and the confidence to meet the needs of active duty military. One particular client presented with level 9 cervical pain and 4 other areas of pain, informed me that actually she really didn't want me to touch her and she didn't trust me at all.
Session ended with cervical pain at a level 3, which she reported never happens and she was completely relaxed and energized enough to go home and spend the evening with her girl friend.
Stabilization through the bones, using talk to get information and to impart knowledge and options, honoring her defense mechanisms and judging her capacity to reorient to health, were all skills from class.

Mark Nepo says: "in the practice of our days, to listen is to lean in, softly, with a willingness to be changed by what we hear". Brigit's training provides the opportunity to learn how to "lean in, softly". And surely, nothing can be more important in the work of healing than a deep commitment to "listen," with our whole being, and to learn the critical supporting skills to help others move through their suffering. By entering the "safe container" of her training I was able to experience the profound impact "real presence" and "real listening" can have on the healing process - my own - and those I work with.

The profound shift in perceptions, skills and empathic behaviors that naturally arose from these courses cannot be understated. It is a rare teacher who can impart streamlined and balanced depth of knowledge with great compassion, humor and integrity.  There was generous integration of experiential and expertly designed labs, debriefs and discussions to feel grounded in the coursework.
To take Brigit's courses is to find yourself living and thinking much differently in the world.

Not only does Brigit have a thorough working knowledge of BCST and trauma resolution work, she also has an incredible gift for bringing in her own unique insight into the classroom, which feels fresh, alive, and TANGIBLE.  The verbal and listening skills have proven to be invaluable, not only in the treatment room, but in all my relations with family, friends, etc.  Brigit's presence conveys a profound sense of grace that is available to her students who are committed to the healing path.  As an added bonus, she has a beautiful voice for sacred songs in Latvian!

Alchemical Alignment has been the most potent, effective, informed and deeply compassionate training program I've ever participated in. Through applying the skills, tools and values of the methodology, my clients have experienced drastic and lasting transformations and healing. My own self-regulation and groundedness as a practitioner has increased exponentially, and my income has nearly tripled since studying with Brigit. I recommend Brigit and her program to all of my colleagues, and likewise to you, if what you're seeking is deeply sustainable change in your and your clients lives.

I was one to "forget" and not dwell on trauma in my life, however, I came to recognize that some things just "gotta give!"  With the loving space held for me by Brigit, I have begun to realize my potential.  Brigit embodies such beautiful, loving kindness that she combines with her powerful but subtle touch, open heart and clarity of the spoken word that
gently and lovingly has allowed me to move forward.  I will forever be grateful!

As a Physical Therapist, I have always been a "hands on" practitioner and worked with the body as a whole.  Studying biodynamic craniosacral therapy for trauma resolution has led me to become not only a better practitioner, but
a better human being. Now, I possess the tools to not just work with the body as a whole, but the human being as a WHOLE embodied being!  Brigit has a unique ability to teach these tools with not only the spoken word, but with a deep intuition and knowing.  She has a rich background that enables her to be such a powerful teacher.

Taking the Level ll class with Brigit has without question added another level of depth to my work.  The sensitivity, mindfulness and profound awareness gleaned in her class has helped me assist my clients to have even more access to those places in themselves thus enabling them reach levels of deeper integration.  I am so grateful for the difference it has made.  I recommend her class without reservation.

Margaretta McIlvaine

Brigit's class is an amazing value for any massage therapist who would like to begin and/or deepen their work with trauma.  The intro to biodynamic craniosacral training, without having to take an entire two-year training, is so appreciated.  My awareness of Blueprint of Health has become something that is in the background of all of my work, and in the way that I live my life.  Although it hasn't yet become a part of my practice, the intro to distance work was exciting for me.  Plus, some of the practical exercises are easy to incorporate in to any massage session--a kidney hold can be so soothing to anybody who is stressed out.
