Right Relationship in Present Time

with Joseph Saine, LMT, RCST®

NB, AlchAlmt Adjunct classes are supplemental series that harmonize with our main training program. The Foundation Program consists of the First and Second Year trainings. The teachers of Adjunct classes are Graduates, Assistants, or, like Joseph, are Foundation Training Teachers as well.

From Joseph about RRiPT:

"This class was created in response to the many experiencing direct injustice
and the burdens caused by systemic oppression.
I have heard many voices saying that it’s time for us to wake up and carry
our historical, cultural, and systemic burdens together instead of alone in isolation.
This begs the question, how might we go about doing (and not-doing) something like this?
In our professions as bodyworkers, therapists, and facilitators, there may be need
for balance and breath between our inner-work and the outer or world-work that emerges and calls to us.
I have observed that one without the other can easily wax hyper in its entitlement and self-referential importance.
I believe we need to see and understand what is “other” to help us see the world more clearly
and who we are in relationship with that which we share the world. From this understanding,
possibilities exponentiate to carry what belongs to our groups, collectives, and world together
rather than trying to carry big things alone. With this we may find appropriate interpersonal intelligent
capacity to respond instead of looping in intense and dysfunctional cycles of reaction.
This class came into being with the contributions of many brilliant humans.
I owe a debt of gratitude for each of you who met me in shared readings, classes,
group processes, and conversations. Thank for working the edges with me.

Right Relationship in Present Time: Co-Creating Intercultural Coherence in Relational Fields

As awareness of human diversity expands, therapists, facilitators, and practitioners increasingly hold complex relational spaces where culture, identity, power, and history arise in felt, immediate ways. These dynamics often evoke deep care, uncertainty, tenderness, and fatigue. How can we cultivate conditions that support stabilization and presence while meeting conflict, oppression, and difference with clarity—without hardening, collapsing, or flattening body experiences in relational fields?

Right Relationship in Present Time offers a seven-class experiential series for practitioners working at the intersection of relational depth and social complexity. The course engages intercultural dynamics—identity, power, historical trauma, systemic oppression, and conflict—as living processes unfolding across personal, interpersonal, group, and collective contexts.

Through integrated somatic, reflective, and cognitive inquiry, participants develop refined recognition and appropriately scaled sensitivity to layered dynamics across multiple levels of experience. The learning process includes noticing patterns such as over- or under-coupling, freezing, looping, and polarization, while cultivating practical ways to orient toward greater coherence, responsiveness, and ethical presence in real time.

The course invites reflection on how personal histories, identities, positionalities, and embodied responses shape the relational fields participants enter and steward. Rather than prioritizing certainty or performance, our work emphasizes curiosity, humility, and relational honesty. An ethic of plurality guides the inquiry as participants examine oppressive or homogenizing dynamics without centering guilt, shame, or dominant identity narratives.

Open to practitioners and seekers from all backgrounds, this course supports the development of shared language, perceptual clarity, and renewed relational capacity. Drawing from both ancient and emerging ways of knowing, Right Relationship in Present Time invites participants into a sustainable and humane practice of intercultural coherence—one oriented toward liberation and grounded in the understanding that care for the field includes care for every part of the field.

In this course we will explore:

  • Principles of Co-creating Coherent Inter-Cultural Relational Fields

  • How social issues and personal issues interact with each other

  • Tools for differentiating personal and group sovereignty and responsibility

  • Recognizing habits of trying to resolve collective issues in personal process

  • Clarifying layers in perceptual and relational fields

  • The edges between identity, rank and role

  • Ways that oppression and responsibility are experienced by different bodies

  • Templates for liberation when working with power dynamics

  • Dynamics of marginalization and what that which we’ve marginalized reveals

  • Recognizing and unravelling prejudice, implicit bias and blindspots in personal and collective layers

  • Working with the impact that intergenerational trauma has in groups and systems

  • Unravelling ancestral, inherited collective and personal curses.

  • Best practices for interpersonal rupture and repair

  • Meeting what’s alive in a group through processes of presencing collective intelligence

This course can be taken as a stand-alone or works well as an adjunct to Alchemical Alignment courses.

Classes are recorded, participants will receive limited time access to recordings.

What people are saying about Joseph’s teaching:

"I am so very happy and grateful for your amazing Tides work and classes. They are superb, and have exceeded my expectations. As a senior  RCST practitioner, with lots of study over the years in a variety of disciplines in the extended and diverse community of the Fluid explorations and inquiries, this says a lot.

I have worked with Emilie Conrad, with Cherionna Menzam Sills, in Watsu with Mary Seamster, and many others.

Your Tides class is one of the best I have ever taken, online." —Rosalind Dunn

“Joseph is an amazing, humble human, whose youthful curiosity, extensive education, obvious skill from practice, and ageless wisdom blend into a fabulous mix for teaching healing somatic work.” —
